Getting Help

The following resources are presented here to provide an educated perspective on sexual abuse, harassment and exploitation. They are included on this site for information purposes only and are not intended by Silent Edge's volunteers to be used as a substitute for treatment or professional medical or legal advice.

"If you are being abused, it is not your fault. The way to stop abuse is to tell and to get help. And keep telling until you get someone to protect you... If you suspect a child is being abused, you must report it to legal authorities. Do not try to play detective on your own. Report any suspicions of abuse and seek professional help. It is a crime not to report suspected child abuse. Silence, ignorance and apathy are the child predator's greatest allies... For adult survivors who have never told, you are not alone. There are many people who understand and can help... Please seek professional assistance."
-- Dr. Nancy Faulkner, Pandora's Box

Are you being abused or harassed? Were you abused in the past, and haven't talked to anyone about it? Do you feel you are in an uncomfortable or abusive situation? Do you suspect that someone at your rink is being abused or harassed? Here are places to go and people to talk to:
